    All Columbia State campuses will be closed Wednesday, Aug. 23 for fall convocation.

    During this time, students can still register, add/drop classes, and confirm and pay by logging into myChargerNet.

    All Columbia State campuses will resume normal business hours Thursday, Aug. 24.

    Columbia State Awarded $200,000 Grant

    Columbia State Community College was recently awarded a $200,000 grant from the Tennessee Higher Education Commission to increase student retention and on-time graduation rates.

    The Institutional Outcome Improvement Fund grant is intended to allow institutions to focus on student outcomes in areas such as credit hour progression and degree completion.

    Columbia State Community College is pleased to announce David Smith as the new Film Crew Technology program director.

    Smith will be responsible for providing leadership, supervision and curriculum guidance for the FCT program. The program allows students to learn the necessary skills to find success working as film and video crew technicians.

    Columbia State Community College’s Office of Economic and Workforce Development is offering the “Pharmacy Technician Program” at the College’s Columbia and Williamson campuses.

    Classes start on the Columbia Campus on Sept. 12, and classes at the Williamson Campus start Oct. 3.
