    Williamson Campus Announces Availability During "Move Week" Transition

    Columbia State Community College’s Williamson Campus will begin to transition from the current location to its newly constructed campus on Liberty Pike in Franklin beginning May 9.   

    “Move Week” will take place after spring commencement and will allow faculty and staff to prepare for the summer semester at the new campus. “Move Week” will run from May 9 until May 13.

    Spring 2016 Commencement Ceremony and Speaker

    Columbia State Community College will celebrate its spring 2016 commencement with some extra pomp and circumstance to mark the college’s 50th Anniversary year. The ceremony will take place May 7 at 10 a.m. in the Webster Athletic Center and feature graduating student, Hillary G. Allen as the commencement speaker.

    “Hillary is an outstanding student,” said Dr. Janet F. Smith, Columbia State president. “She has accomplished so much in her time her at Columbia State, and I believe she will continue to accomplish her goals and achieve her dreams as she continues her education and forges ahead into her career and future endeavors.”

    Columbia State and Williamson County Schools Sign AiiT Program Agreement for Fairview High School

    Columbia State Community College recently signed a program agreement with Williamson County Schools and Fairview High School at the Spring Hill-based Northfield Workforce Development & Conference Center, where Columbia State holds its Advanced Integrated Industrial Technology program. The partnership will provide mechatronics-based dual-credit courses for Fairview students beginning fall 2016.

    Columbia State Community College’s Pryor Art Gallery presents the Southern Watercolor Society exhibit May 9 – June 29 with an awards ceremony and reception May 14 from 5 – 7 p.m.

    The Pryor Art Gallery is in the Waymon L. Hickman Building on the Columbia Campus, located at 1665 Hampshire Pike.     TBR Approves Naming for Charles M. Sargent Building at Quarterly Meeting

    Regents, board members and other guests were given a tour of the campus when Columbia State Community College hosted the Tennessee Board of Regents for its quarterly meeting at the new Williamson Campus Wednesday, March 30.

    A big moment came for Columbia State when the TBR unanimously approved the naming of the Arts and Humanities Building. Named for state representative and long-time college supporter, the building will now be named the Charles M. Sargent Building.
